Impeachment Vote Against Trump as Wyoming’s Liz Cheney became ‘Voice of Conscience’ for Republicans
The world always had its eyes set on the US elections from years, this time, too, it was no different, however, more than the impending defeat of the former Potus Donald Trump and victory of Joe Biden, who is elected as the 46th president of United States of America by the Americans, it’s the sour reaction and problematic activities of Donald Trump to his defeat that gained most attention globally.
After losing the re-election bid and failing to retain his presidency in any way, Donald Trump incited the mob against the parliament in USA. He formed, instigated and directed the mob for riot in the Capitol thereby causing the destruction and loss of lives, however, his main target was Wyoming’s Liz Cheney, the third-ranking GOP leader as he attacked her verbally.
Unlike some other republicans, Liz Cheney was in opposition of Trump’s attempts to overturn the electoral college results, and on Tuesday, she was the catalyst in decision of casting impeaching vote for Donald Trump against the violent riot he ignited in the US Capitol last week.
Calling it, “a vote of conscience,” Cheney advocated to her fellow Republicans on a conference call charging Donald Trump with impeachment. She stated in an official statement, “The President of the United States summoned this mob, assembled the mob, and lit the flame of this attack,” backing her stance she further stated that everything that happened was Trump’s doing. She affirmed that none of that would have happened without his direction. Highlighting his role, she further stated that being the President, Donald Trump, could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence, but he did not. “There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution,” Cheney concluded her stance.
