“Riverdale” is an American teen drama which is based on the characters of Archie Comics. The series for now has 5 seasons and 77 episodes in total. First season of the show was released on 26th of January, 2017. The series was then renewed for 4 more seasons and its 5ht season was released on 20th of January, 2021.
The latest 5th season did very well and everyone liked it too. As the series already have 5 seasons, fans are demanding for its 6th season. Minding the success rate of all the seasons it is sure that makers are also not done with the series yet.

So, will we have season 6 of “Riverdale”?
The makers of the series recently released season 5. So as for now there is no official statement regarding season 6. However, the success of all the season will not allow makers to end the franchise at season 5. In fact, according to sources, it is said that the makers are planning to make Riverdale a long term show. The Chairman and CEO of The CW Mark Pedowitz also said that Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has full plan to make “Riverdale” a long term show.

When will creators release season 6?
As far as we know, the COVID-19 has not left the world yet. United States is among the worst COVID-19 suffering countries. So for now, we are sure that season 6 of “Riverdale” will not arrive before October 2021. It would have even released on October 2021 but due to COVID-19 season 5 was delayed. Which means that season 6 is pushed further. Therefore we are expecting that makers will release season 6 maybe in January 2022.
Moreover, creators have not even started filming season 6. They will probably start shooting it in springs. On top of that, due to COVID-19 regulations the cast may have to quarantine again just like they did during the shooting of season 5.
