As per a few sources, this might be the best season yet
Rick and Morty‘s fifth season is currently going on and everything is coming together well.
While a release date isn’t out yet, there are already numerous discussions and theories on the internet related to the popular Adult Swim series. Aside from that, there’s also a first look clip that has been released a few months ago. After all the setbacks we have faced in 2020, some portal-hopping adventures might just be what we need.
Season 5 might release sooner than we think
We haven’t received a release date yet, but this time the series is expected to arrive sooner than the two-year plus gap that we have seen between season 3 (October 2017) and season 4 (November 2019).
The credits go to Adult Swim themselves, who had ordered 70 episodes of Rick and Morty back in 2018. Ten of that comprised of the fourth season, so that leaves us with 60 more episodes, so aside from season 5, we will be getting five more seasons.
Another bit of promising information comes from the programme’s co-creator Dan Harmon who said that they have been more on schedule than they’ve ever been. Even better news is that they’ve also started work on season 7, meaning lesser gaps between seasons.
Season 5 plot
Rick and Morty‘s clone saga is expected to continue in this season as well. We found out in season 4 that Beth may not be who she thought she was. Some obscure images related to the fifth season can also be found on twitter.
Aside from that, the creators haven’t shared anything and the secrecy is air-tight.
Check out the first look of season 5
This is just an early-look but it still looks great. Also, Rick will have a new nemesis named Mr. Nimbus, a sea king by the looks of him.
