Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes have assembled
The Super Bowl is a great time to expect new trailers from Marvel, and they followed the tradition this year as well, with a new trailer from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that will be streaming on Disney+ from March 19. Check out the trailer below:
Aside from the trailer, a new poster has also been released.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Brühl, who will be returning as Zemo, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, and Emily VanCamp returning as Sharon Carter.
The story picks up after Avengers: Endgame and we will see Sam Wilson taking on his new role as Captain America while teaming up with Bucky Barnes while facing new world threats (and each other) in the Disney+ series. The series is directed by Kari Skogland and written by Malcolm Spellman. It will start streaming exclusively on Disney + from March.
The show was originally going to be released in the fall of 2020, but got delayed due to COVID-19, along with other Marvel shows such as WandaVision and Loki. WandaVision has started streaming on Disney+ on Jan. 15 and will be winding up on March 5. Loki is set to premiere on May, after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier ends.
From the trailers we can already see that Marvel is leaving no stones unturned in making the series just as good as their movies, with the action and CGI. We will also be seeing returning characters as well as some new faces.
Sharon Carter will be assisting Sam and Bucky in taking down Baron Helmut Zemo who has resurfaced after being apprehended by Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War. We will also be seeing John F. Walker (Russel) who will play a militaristic version of Captain America and is a US Government product. If you are familiar with the character, you will know that he is going to be a secondary antagonist in the series.
