Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga release date, pre-order options and trailer

Lego games have undergone a major change and players can now hop back into their beloved Star Wars universe with the new Skywalker Saga bundle.
The first game in the Lego Star Wars series came in 2005, and the last one came in 2016, after the release of The Force Awakens. Now this game will be bundling all the stories so far in this beautiful retelling.
Release date
A proper release date hasn’t been given as of yet, but the game will be made available for the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2021. The rumoured release date will be sometime between early April and late June. The game was set to release sometime in 2020, but faced numerous delays.
New gameplay
The Skywalker Saga has brought some significant changes that wasn’t seen in previous Lego games. In this, players get to play any of the nine Skywalker episodes in the order that they please. Also, the levels that players are already familiar with in previous games has been given a major upgrades, thereby getting a fresh experience.
One feature that’s particularly noteworthy is that players can fully explore planets that are filled with known landmarks that have appeared in the movies. They include the Starkiller Base’s snowfields, the harsh desert of Geonosis, and the murky swamps of Dagobah.
According to a blog posted in the official Star Wars site in May 2020, there are close to 500 characters in the game, and many are playable as well.
There are two versions of the game available for pre-order – Standard and Deluxe. The Deluxe edition includes the base game and the Character Collection bundle.
