Among Us: The popular multiplayer gets a big discount on Nintendo Switch
This is a good chance as any to order a copy
Among Us came on Nintendo Switch in Decmeber 2020 and in just two months, the game has received a significant discount. The game will be available for $3.50 instead of $4.99 from now till Feb. 28th. Discounts are a common thing at the Nintendo Switch eShop, but it’s a surprise nonetheless to see such a big title as Among Us receive one so soon, and that too, such a notable amount.
One of the most popular games in 2020

Among Us had been one of the most popular games in 2020, with various YouTube and Twitch channels profiting greatly from it, since it was great fun not just to play it, but to watch imposters and crewmates in action.
The game came late to Switch, but it had been available in other platforms since 2018. It failed to make an impact in the initial two years until Twitch streamers discovered it and started playing it with either people online or with their friends. The player count grew tenfold after that and the developer InnerSloth, who had been considering making a sequel to get more players, scrapped the idea thanks to the game’s newfound fame.
Since then, features that were intended for the sequel started arriving to the game, such as support for multiple languages and a new, highly anticipated Airship map.
Points to be noted

Those who are wishing to buy the game must note that Among Us requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, unlike games like Fortnite. This might be a buzzkill for some players who were hoping to buy the game but doesn’t have the membership. The service costs $19.99 for one year. However, those with Switches can play in both handheld and docked models, and the Switch version is also capable of cross-playing with other versions of the game.
