Get ready to experience some southern charm with this one
Country Comfort is an upcoming Netflix Original sitcom series created by Caryn Lucas. It will mark the 20th Original sitcom that the streaming service has released.
Netflix has struggled to establish itself with its Original sitcoms, apart from The Ranch. Therefore, Country Comfort really has a lot to live up to, if it needs to establish itself as one of the big guns in the Netflix comedy genre.
Season one of Country Comfort will be coming to Netflix on Friday, March 19, 2021. It will consist of ten episodes, each with a runtime of approximately 25 minutes.
The story follows country singer Bailey, whose personal life has gone off track and so does her career, so she ends up becoming a nanny for the cowboy Beau. The previous nine nannies that Beau hired to look after his nine children had to leave after some time, but Bailey managed to fill that missing mother-shaped gap in their lives. Beau’s family, who was musically gifted, might just be what Bailey needed to get her career back on track as well.
The series stars Katherine McPhee (Smash, The House Bunny) as Bailey, Eddie Cibrian (The Cave, Third Watch) as Beau, Jamie Martin Mann (Wolf) as Brody, Griffin McIntyre (Return of the Mac) as Dylan, Alexander Neher (Grey’s Anatomy, The Birch) as Levi, Brooklyn MacKinzie (Truth Be Told, Violet) as Lilly, Kirrilee Berger (One Dollar, K.C. Undercover) as Jo, Shiloh Verrico (Crown Vic, Lingua Franca) as Cassidy, Eric Balfour (Haven, Six Feet Under) as Boone, and Janet Varney (The Legend of Korra, Catwoman) as Summer.
Like most of its new releases, Netflix will be releasing Country Comfort in 4K for which you need a premium account and a 4K device.
