Halo TV show starring Pablo Schreiber is releasing on Paramount + streaming service

Paramount+ will be launching officially on March 4

The highly-anticipated Halo TV series will be officially released on upcoming streaming service Paramount+, which will be launched on March 4. The series will be based on the iconic video games series made for PC and Xbox by Microsoft, and stars Pablo Schreiber (American Gods, Orange is the New Black) as the legendary Master Chief.

The series started filming in 2020 before it got interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. The series will be bringing back the original voice actress for the AI Cortana, Jen Taylor.

Production resumed in full swing after the COVID-19 safety protocols were established in every filming set, and the crew is back at Budapest. It was confirmed after a post by Schreiber showing off Master Chief’s live-action design with the lower half of his helmet.

Not much news about the series had been given afterwards and fans have been waiting for the show’s release date to be announced. It was set to arrive in Showtime in early 2021, but the show’s official Twitter announced that the series will be arriving to Paramount+ in 2022.

Deadline reported that the series will be an exclusive on ViacomCBS’s Paramount+. The decision was made to ensure that Paramount+ had a defining show other than Star Trek. The information was shared by David Nevins, Chief Creative Officer, CBS & Chairman and CEO, Showtime Networks. He added that the decision was seen as a possibility, but after seeing the early footage, it was decided to move the series to Paramount+.

This is huge news to fans as we now have a proper release plan for the show. We are not sure at this point on whether the series will be a faithful adaptation of the games, but it’s going to be a big production, and Paramount+ can become just as popular as the other streaming services with giants like this.
