Stargirl Season 2: The highly anticipated second season will be premiering in Summer 2021
Season 1 had an open-ended conclusion, so fans are curious to see how everything plays out
The highly anticipated second season of DC’s Stargirl is all set to be released in Summer 2021. After being created as an exclusive for the DC Universe streaming service, it came to the CW in May and soon became a part of the Arrowverse. The series tells the story of Courtney Whitmore, played by Brec Bassinger, an ordinary teen who comes across a powerful cosmic staff that belonged to Starman, a hero from the Justice Society of America. Soon, she takes up the mantle of Stargirl and tries to revive the JSA.
Series renewal
The series was renewed for a second season after getting positive reviews from audiences and critics. Season one saw Stargirl and the Justice Society facing off against their opposition, the Injustice Society, and came out mostly victorious. Some of the big guns from the Injustice Society include Icicle played by Neil Jackson and Brainwave played by Christopher James Baker.
There were numerous unanswered questions after the finale, like who is going to be the lead antagonist in Stargirl season 2. After the show ended in August, fans were eager to know about what happens next. Due to the pandemic, nobody knew how long the production will be delayed as numerous movies and TV series faced setbacks.
A new teaser
DC just released a ten-second clip announcing that Stargirl season 2 will be released in summer 2021. While no specific date has been mentioned, it’s understandable that filming has wrapped up and there would probably be just final touches left to add.
Before summer hits, we can expect another 1-minute or 2-minute trailer that shows what’s in store for season 2. There might even be crossovers with other CW DC shows such as The Flash.
