After the famous pop singer, Rihanna caused a ripple effect on Wednesday by tweeting about the circumstance in Delhi in support of farmers. There has been an overflowing of support from the international stars for the farmer protests against the three new farming laws.

What is the protest all about?

Outrage against the three new farmer laws has been stewing since the month of September.

Three laws were established in September to permit agribusinesses to unreservedly exchange ranch produce without limitations. They license private dealers to reserve enormous amounts of fundamental products for future deals and set down new standards for contract cultivating.

While BJP governments in UP and Haryana have neglected to persuade farmers, legislatures of Rajasthan and Punjab have stretched out full support to their tumult. Farmers need the Union government to either pull out the three enactments or give a proper assurance them the minimum support price (MSP) for their yields by presenting another law.

What is the latest situation?

Many of the farmers have stayed outdoors on the edges of the city for more than two months now. It is right now regarded as a largely peaceful protest. But the tensions emerged on January 26, when a tractor rally by farmers turned out to be chaotic. There were high conflicts between the protestors and the police. The circumstance of the situation stays tense till now, with the government restricting the internet services at the protest area.
