This year started with one of the most anticipated events with The Golden Globe Awards 2021 giving fans some pleasant surprises and some big wins for the well deserving!

Chloe Zhao Created History By Being The First Asian Woman To Win The Best Director Award.

Nomadland director Chloe Zhao created history by being the first woman of Asian descent to bag the award of best director. This indeed is a huge moment in the Entertainment industry. Chloe Zhao is the second woman to win the Globes in this category. Barbra Streisand was the first woman to grab the award for Yentl back in 1984. It is an inspirational moment for many generations to come with more women bagging this award in the future.

Moreover, Chloe Zhao gave a heartfelt speech while accepting the award. The director took this opportunity to thank the nomads who shared their stories  for the movie and also mentioned   real-life nomad Bob Wellwho appeared in the moving drama as well. The director further talked about the true meaning of compassion while expressing her excitement for this big win.

Chadwick Boseman Also Received A Posthumous Award For His Performance In Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

The whole world remembered our very own Black Panther Star Chadwick Boseman who received a posthumous award for his meticulous performance in Jazz periodic drama Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. While it was an emotional moment for everyone as we lost a shining star way too soon, his wife Taylor Simone Ledward gave an emotional acceptance speech on the late actor’s behalf.

Taylor Simone Ledward became a bit emotional while breaking down in tears while saying that the late actor would have thanked God, thanked his parents and this ancestors along with his incredible team. Co-Star Viola Davis was also in tears while remembering the great actor.
