Movano's Ring will be released in beta version
The main function of the Movano Ring is to keep a daily check on the health of women, especially those with chronic illnesses.
As a “non-invasive RF technology platform”, in the words of the manufacturer, the device can share, for example, insights into how a person sleeps, so that they can create new sleep habits.
Currently, the product is performing non-invasive tests to detect glucose levels and blood pressure, having completed its third stage with 110 participants in the last quarter of 2021. According to Movano, there is already another test scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.
The company is seeking the Class II designation to add vital medical data to its products, as stated by CEO John Mastrototaro during the item's display at CES 2022. He revealed, however, that the ring would likely not have authorization from Food and Drug Administration ( FDA , the equivalent of our Anvisa) until the release date.
Although still in development, the first edition of the Movano Ring should be released by the second half, and that would only be a beta version. According to the company's website, it would be available in four colors – black, silver, gold and copper. Prices have not yet been released.
