Google asks judge to file antitrust case in Texas
On Friday, Google, the search giant and owned by Alphabet, asked a federal judge to file most of an antitrust lawsuit brought by Texas and other states that accuses the company of abusing its domain in the US. online advertising market. In its defense, Google claimed that the states had not presented consistent evidence about possible illegal work with Facebook, now Meta, to combat the “header bid”. It's a technology that publishers have created to make more money from advertising.
Complaints collection
According to the US state indictment, Google used at least three programs to manipulate ad auctions to coerce advertisers and publishers to use search engines.
Despite having a "collection of complaints", the company said that none of them were based on realistic evidence.
“They criticize Google for not designing its products to better meet the needs of its rivals and for making improvements to those products that leave its competitors behind. They see the 'solution' to Google's success as a deterrent to Google,” the company said in its defense.

Google claims accusations are inconsistent
Google asked that four of the six charges be dismissed, meaning they could not be brought back in the same court.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said he would continue with the fight. "The company whose motto was 'Don't be evil' now asks the world to examine its blatant monopoly abuses and see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil," it said in a statement.
The Texas lawsuit had two other claims based on state law and brought against Google, which were suspended in September. The lawsuit is part of a long list of federal and state antitrust investigations and litigation against Big Tech platforms.
