Leaked Video Shows Tesla Cybertruck Production Visual; watch

A video leaked online on Monday (24) shows the main details of the production look of the highly anticipated Cybertruck electric pickup, unveiled by Tesla in late 2019 and with reserves that already exceed US$ 80 billion.

According to information from the Electrek website, apparently the images were captured by newly hired employees of the Texas (United States) gigafactory. The video, posted on the Cybertruck Owners Club YouTube channel (see below) , shows most of the new pickup's exterior details, including tweaks to the front design and the massive windshield wiper — already dropped by CEO Elon Musk as standard. .

Another detail is the size of the Tesla Cybertruck, which, if the teaser leaked in October looked giant, in this new footage it appears, in a sense, even a little anticlimactic. We can see people around the truck in the video and it looks a lot smaller than the prototype.

As for the adjustments to the front bumper, it is possible to verify that the panel below the LED lights must be retractable, probably for the purpose of trailer use or other utilities. On the side, the pickup, in fact, doesn't come with door handles, while the mirrors seem to have a surprisingly conventional look for the project's ambition. The tires on the pickup, meanwhile, appear grooved.

Pickup will not hit the market until 2023

With a futuristic look, almost like a scenographic item from the Blade Runner movie, the Cybertruck has already had its launch postponed three times by Tesla – since it was revealed in 2019. According to the American automaker, the car made of stainless steel is capable of withstanding even shots. caliber 9 mm and towing a load of six tons.

The Cybertruck will come with three engine options: the cheapest with an electric motor and 0 to 100 km/h in 6s5; the intermediate with two engines and 0 to 100 km/h in 4s5; and the premium one with three engines and 0 to 100 km/h in 2s9. Production of the vehicle, according to Reuters, is expected to start in the first quarter of 2023.
