In addition to the Legion Y90, Lenovo is preparing another gaming smartphone, the Legion Halo is a smartphone with the SM8475, a 4nm processor with Adreno 730 GPU, the same as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The leak was made by Evan Blass, the Evleaks of Twitter, in its closed profile.
Lenovo's new gaming smartphone will have a 6.67-inch POLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz tap sampling rate. In addition, still according to Blass, it will have versions with 8, 12 or 16 GB of DDR5 RAM and with 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The 5000 mAh battery has 68W charging.
The Lenovo Halo's triple camera array should have a 50MP main camera accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide and another 2MP sensor. The selfie camera will be 16 MP. It must have a thickness of 8 mm. Additionally, Evan Blass also points out that he is not to be confused with Legion Diablo, which will be the successor to Legion Duel 2.
What will be the official name of the Legion Halo's Snapdragon SM8475 chip?
This chip has not yet been officially released by Qualcomm, but it could be either the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 or an enhanced version (Plus) of the 8 Gen 1 itself, something the company has been doing in recent years.
Some also speculate that the Legion Halo's processor could be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but it wouldn't make sense for a Q3 release this year. It is worth remembering that, historically, Qualcomm only presents its new flagship processor in December.
