Red Magic 7 hits 1 million points on AnTuTu and has 165W charging
A wave of new gaming phones is to arrive within the next few months, with launches of Black Shark, Nubia Red Magic, ASUS ROG and Lenovo Legion. Today, on its official account on the Chinese social network Weibo, Nubia published teasers indicating what consumers can expect from the Red Magic 7, and the numbers are impressive indeed.
For starters, one of the teasers shows that Red Magic 7 beat AnTuTu 9's 1 million point range, getting a total of 1,101,769 points. The Magic 7 chipset will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
The second teaser is about cooling, giving the number 41,279, probably a reference to the total area of the heat plates. Cooling is an important part of new gaming phones, especially since the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has already shown that it can generate a heating problem for smartphones that carry the chip. The Red Magic 7 should also have a physical cooling solution, something along the lines of the Legion Y90's dual fans.
The latest teaser features the number 165, probably indicating that the Red Magic 7 will offer 165W fast charging, which could mean that the Nubia phone will be the first on the market to break the 120W/125W barrier. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station had access to an actual Magic 7 charger, which has the number 165W printed on it.

Considering that Nubia has published all the teasers at once, it is quite possible that the Red Magic 7 will be released later in February, putting the device in direct competition with the Legion Y90 in the Chinese market and later in the global market.
