Siemens announces investment of US$6.21 billion for 2022
Siemens announced that it intends to invest 5.5 billion euros, equivalent to US$ 6.21 billion, in the development of new products and services for this year. The value is higher than that announced by its main competitors, according to the assessment of the executive president of the train and software maker, Roland Busch.
The investment is well above the US$ 4.9 billion invested by Siemens in 2021, which represented around 7.8% of sales.

The new investment corresponds to 8% of sales forecast by Siemens this year. Everything should be announced at the company's General Meeting, scheduled for February 10, where the expected profits for this first quarter of 2022 will be announced.
