On March 18th, 1979, Adam Noah Levine was born in Los Angeles, California. When Adam was seven years old, his parents, Fredric and Patsy Levine divorced.
He has described his family as “extremely musical,” and has credited his distinctive musical approach to growing up listening to his mother’s idols, Simon & Garfunkle, Fleetwood Mac, and the Beatles.

Before making it great in the music industry, Levine worked as a writer’s assistant on the CBS television drama Judging Amy. Adam penned several poems and songs about an ex-girlfriend named Jane during his time on Judging Amy.
These notes would later become Maroon 5’s first chart-topping album, “Songs About Jane,” released in 2002 and certified triple platinum.
The album was a surprise hit, selling ten million copies and ranking as the tenth best-selling album of 2004–two years after its initial release.
