Wolfgang William Van Halen is an American musician. He was the bassist for the rock band Van Halen from 2006 to 2020. He is the son of guitarist Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli.
From 2012 to 2016, he was a member of the heavy metal band Tremonti. Following his father’s death in 2020, he focused on his solo project Mammoth WVH, in which he plays all instruments and sings.

Wolfgang Van Halen was nominated for his first Grammy in 2021 for Best Rock Song. Wolfgang expressed his gratitude for even being considered for his song Distance, which was composed as a tribute to his father and lost to the Foo Fighters.
“It’s such an honour to be nominated for the first song I ever released on my own, in a category with musicians I’ve admired my whole life,” he posted.
