Dove Olivia Cameron (born Chloe Celeste Hosterman; January 15, 1996) is an American actress and singer who starred in the Disney Channel comedy series Liv and Maddie, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in Children’s Programming.
She also starred as Mal in the Descendants movie series. Cameron debuted as a performer with the Liv and Maddie soundtrack CD (2015).
In the same year, she released her debut song for Descendants, “If Only.” Bloodshot / Waste, her debut EP, was published in 2019.
Cameron has said that she is bisexual, but in May 2021, she stated that the best term to characterise her sexuality is queer.
She also considers herself a feminist. From August 2013 to 2016, she was in a relationship with her Liv and Maddie co-star Ryan McCartan.
On April 14, 2016, they announced their engagement. However, in October 2016, the partnership came to an end.
