Review of the Movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
America Chavez has the ability to move between realities, known as the multiverse, and she is being pursued by a monster. Dr. Strange and Wong save her, but as Dr. Strange tries to figure out what’s causing all of this, they run into bigger complications. The rest of the plot revolves around whether Strange saves America Chaves or whether the demon gets what it wants.
The last standalone Doctor Strange feature was released more than 5 years ago, and all that can be stated about the film is that fans are in for a treat. The picture is packaged carefully to satisfy fans while also ensuring that first-time Marvel movie viewers aren’t alienated, with a proper balance of horror, fantasy, action, and other genres.
In summary, the picture does not rely solely on references to past Marvel films.
As usual, Benedict Cumberbatch is in fine form and receives the best punchlines. However, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch steals every scene she is in. The emotional breakdown near the finale is performed with remarkable sincerity and raises the scenario significantly. Benedict Wong as Wong and Rachel McAdams as Christine both make valuable contributions.
The visual effects are another outstanding point in the picture. Whether it’s the Octopus Monster in the opening fight sequence or the journey through the multiverse, the effects will leave you speechless.
There are easily 4-5 instances in the film where the performers do nothing noteworthy and the VFX gets all the attention. The confrontation sequences between Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Dr. Strange are by far the greatest.
Technically, Danny Elfman’s thrilling background score gives the film much-needed drive. Danny comes to the rescue whenever the script falters. His score might also be referred to as the film’s spine. We all know that the cinematography and visual quality of Marvel films will be excellent.
However, cinematographer John Mathieson’s camera motions are seamless and inventive in this scene. Strange is seen mending his watch in one scene. The angle from which the scene is taken is an example of the kind of creativity John brings to the table.
Overall, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness provides fans with everything they asked for and more. It is quite difficult for a film with such high expectations to exceed them. And it’s done with perfect ease in the film. It also fulfills and engages a large portion of the general population. This is a must-see commercial entertainer.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Sam Raimi’s return to superhero films, may disappoint long-time fans due to a sequence in the film’s opening credits. Every sorcerer in Kamar-Himalayan Taj’s fortress takes up arms in a show of solidarity against the planet’s most powerful adversary, a massive, billowing storm cloud appears to foreshadow a fight with plenty of room for Army of Darkness-style carnage.
Rather than the typical “my magic CGI rays are stronger than your magic CGI rays” nonsense, we get the usual “my magic CGI rays are stronger than your magic CGI rays” nonsense, with a dash of mind-control tossed in for good measure.
However, don’t be discouraged just yet: the director will demonstrate flashes of his distinct style in the very next sequence, and by the end of the film, Madness will have become the first Marvel adventure in which undead corpse fights alongside the good guys and a swarm of inky demons assembles like a hellish Voltron.
Cameras tilt and reflections do strange and terrifying things. (Yes, even the tiniest True Believers should refrain from participating in this one.)
