Mansoor Aslam Khan Niazi, known professionally as Sami Khan, is a Pakistani actor and model who features in Pakistani films and television series. He started his career with the film Salakhain and subsequently proceeded to television.
Career Journey
Khan started his career immediately in Lollywood. He debuts his first film named “Salakhein” stirred with Ahmed Buttt, Zara Sheik, and Meera. However, the picture was released in 2004.
In this debut, khan played a police officer, Mansoor. After his cinematic debut, Khan starred in the drama industry and portray diversified roles in many Pakistani plays. He’s one of the renowned dramas is “Dil Se Dil Tak” with the co-actress/actor Farhana Maqsoo and Ahsan Khan, which was telecast on PTV.
His other award-winning series was Zafar Mairaj’s penned play “Ghar ka Khatir”. The drama centers around the story of a guy who sacrifices for his family. This drama was also broadcast on PTV Home from 2010 to 2011.
In 2013, Khan made his debut in a popular telefilm “Devar Bhabhi” which was a remake of the 1967 film of the same name.
This drama depicts a story of a dewar (Sami Khan) and a bhabhi (Saima Noor) (Saima Noor). In this his telefilm, Khan portrayed the role of Khalid with the co-actresses, Saima Noor and Sadia Khan.
This was directed by Sayed Noor. Following the years, in 2016, he acted on the Geo TV romance drama series “Dhani” opposite Madiha Imam. The plot revolves around a rich guy who loves an innocent and humble girl and can fight with anyone for his love.
Another hit PTV drama serial was “Main” which was shown in 2017. Sami portrayed in this drama stirring with prominent actors Babar Ali, Adnan Shah, and Mehwish Hayat which won him the nomination for the LUX Style Award. He is recently playing in a popular Hum TV drama “Ishq Zahe Naseeb” thrilling with Zahid Ahmed and Sonya Hussain as a key character.
The play focuses on the very severe subject of Split Personality illness. Now a day, Sami is also working as a Goodwill Ambassador under the Children’s Literature Festival, CLF from 30 July 2019.
