Baaghi 4: Amazon Prime Has Signed a Licensing Agreement With Sajid Nadiadwala’s Production House!
The Baaghi films are a series of Indian films that are in the genre of action thrillers. The first film in the series is distributed by UTV Motion Pictures, while the second and third films in the series are distributed by Fox Star Studios.
All of the films are produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the umbrella of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
- Baaghi, the first film in the series, was released in 2016 and was directed by Sabbir Khan.
- Baaghi 2, which will be released in 2018.
- Baaghi 3, which will be released in 2020, will both be directed by Ahmed Khan. With a worldwide gross of more than 254.33 crores, Baaghi 2 is, to this day, the most financially successful film in the franchise.
Streaming Service Deals Have Been Agreed Upon for the Post-theatrical Release of Four Bollywood Films
In a recent announcement made in Mumbai, it was revealed that four of Bollywood’s most successful movies, including “Bawaal,” “Sanki,” “Baaghi 4” starring Tiger Shroff, and Kartik Aaryan’s untitled project, will be released on over-the-top (OTT) platforms after their runs in theatres as part of a multi-film licensing deal.
The agreement is a product of a partnership between the online streaming service Prime Video and the production company Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, which is owned by Sajid Nadiadwala (NGE).
The lineup of upcoming films will feature narratives that span a variety of genres, including action, patriotic war drama, ambitious period pieces, and others. In addition to this, the movies will be made available “to rent” on Prime Video during the period designated as “Early Access Rental.”
These movies will star a number of Bollywood’s most well-known actors and actresses, such as Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, and Kartik Aaryan, amongst others.
The roster also includes films directed by some of the most renowned and influential filmmakers, including award-winning directors such as Nitesh Tiwari (Chhichhore, Dangal), Ravi Udyawar (Mom), Sameer Vidwans (Anandi Gopal), and Saket Chaudhry. Other directors on the slate include Saket Chaudhry (Hindi Medium).

Amazon Prime made the announcement on Monday, May 30, via their Twitter handle. They wrote, “Pairing up with @NGEMovies @WardaNadiadwala and #SajidNadiadwala to bring you the best of blockbuster entertainment including Bawaal, Sanki, Baaghi 4, and much more starring the most sought-after upcoming talent.”

(sic)” When asked about the most recent transaction, Nadiadwala stated, “We have been entertaining the audience for the last 70 years with our movies, contributing to the Indian culture and today it’s a new era in entertainment with OTT [streaming] becoming such an integral part of our lives.”
Nadiadwala was referring to the fact that online video streaming has become such an important component of our everyday lives.
He went on to say that Amazon Prime had an essential role to play in removing geographical, linguistic, and other types of barriers that existed in the entertainment industry, and he expressed his happiness at having found a partner “that not only shares our vision of offering immersive cinematic experiences but also provides global distribution to the best stories from the Indian entertainment ecosystem.”
The director of content licensing for Amazon Prime stated that the purpose of the contract is to provide “entertaining tales and stories” to audiences all around the world shortly after the theatrical releases of the films in question.
According to him, the conclusion was that “at Amazon, we start with the consumer and move backward,” and that “this partnership is another step towards achieving that promise.”
The first three films in the Baaghi franchise, which is fronted by Tiger Shroff and have achieved huge popularity, respectively.
The audience absolutely adored the heart-pounding action sequences and the riveting storyline that featured the main character. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan’s next performance in Bawaal, which will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has also attracted the interest of viewers.
