Early Life and Beginnings of Career
Kevin Wayne Durant was born on September 29, 1988, in Washington, DC. His father abandoned the family when he was still an infant, and his parents eventually divorced. As a result, Durant’s grandma assisted in his upbringing.
Brianna is his sister, and he has two brothers, Tony and Rayvonne. They were raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, near Washington, DC. Durant’s father returned to his life when he was 13 years old, and the two traveled the country together to attend basketball events.
