NEW YORK (AP) — Angelina Jolie, an advocate for adoption, attributes her choice to have biological children to her partner Brad Pitt.

“One of the life-changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was certainly never going to get pregnant,” Jolie reveals in an interview with W magazine. It was never the correct thing for me to do.”

She claims that witnessing Pitt interact with his adoptive children Maddox and Zahara changed her opinion.

“He stopped talking about having further kids in the opposite direction,” she writes in the November issue of the magazine. “I believe in my heart I recognized he was perfectly content with them as his children.” “Knowing he’d never regard them as different gave me a sense of relief.”

“I believe I simply looked at him and liked him and just felt open to him after that epiphany,” she says (getting pregnant). I instantly felt compelled to. She explains, “It’s one of those things you can’t describe.”
