Years after Woody Harrelson disclosed that he goes on “friendship tours” with the group, photographs have surfaced of him and Matthew McConaughey in Croatia with Chris Rock and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson will be reuniting for another project.
The cast members of True Detective, along with some of their pals, were photographed paddleboarding together on Sunday in Dubrovnik, Croatia. On the boat they were traveling on together, McConaughey, 52 years old at the time, was steering, and Harrelson, 60 years old at the time, was seated in the rear.
In addition to their work on the HBO series True Detective, which debuted in 2014, the two actors had previously worked together in the feature projects EDtv (1999) and Surfer, Dude (2008).
Is it possible that they have separate mothers? On Instagram, Matthew McConaughey playfully posted a photo taken in December 2019 showing him swimming with Woody Harrelson, originally from Texas.
In 2019, when Harrelson was asked about a trip he took with friends Sacha Baron Cohen, Chris Rock, and Matthew McConaughey, during which they visited Bono’s home in the South of France, he responded by saying that he enjoys traveling on what he refers to as “friendship tours.” McConaughey and Sacha Baron Cohen were also on the trip.
“I call it a “friendship tour,” and I do it almost every year. I gave some thought to calling it a “bender where I drain off my rich friends,” but in the end, I felt that “friendship tour” was a more appropriate name.”
At that moment, he explained. “You should go over there, stay the night, and drink yourself stupid there. Great.”
On Saturday, Harrelson and his wife, Laura Louie, were spotted on the water in Croatia. The happy pair, who have been married since 2008 and share three children, were captured on camera beaming broadly while Harrelson waved to people on the cruise ship in the backdrop.
At a different point, the actor who played Peeta in The Hunger Games could be seen pumping his fist. In addition, Rock and Baron Cohen, who is known to routinely travel together on what they refer to as “friendship trips,” were seen in Dubrovnik.
Rock, 57, was seen walking alongside actress Lake Bell while holding hands, while the comedian was overheard having a conversation with Sacha Baron Cohen while out on a yacht.
