Tech titans dominate the Forbes list of the world’s wealthiest people in mid-2022. Forbes’ database of the rich began in 1982 with the Forbes 400, a list of the 400 wealthiest Americans.
Daniel Keith Ludwig, a shipping entrepreneur with other commercial endeavors, was at the top of the 1982 list. Forbes currently includes a person’s net worth, philanthropy score, and self-made score.
Both George Soros and Rihanna have self-made ratings of ten, noting their humble beginnings before rising to fortune.
10. Mukesh Ambani
Indian industrialist Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani was born on April 19, 1957, and is a multibillionaire. He is the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), the most valuable corporation by market value in India and a Fortune Global 500 firm.
Ambani will be the second richest person in Asia after Gautam Adani and the 11th richest person worldwide as of July 27, 2022, according to Forbes and Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimates.
Mukesh Ambani is the chairman and CEO of Reliance Industries, a $74 billion (sales) conglomerate with petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecommunications, and retail holdings.
