A standalone “Venom” film, almost wholly distinct from the “Spider-Man” area of the Marvel universe, may have looked strange just a few years ago.
Following the massive success of “Venom” in 2018 and the upcoming release of “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” in 2021, the symbiotic antihero has emerged as one of the essential characters in the Sony-owned Marvel roster, as well as the protagonist of a billion-dollar franchise (per The Numbers).
Tom Hardy now definitively owns the twin roles of Eddie Brock and his alien counterpart, and the character’s future looks tremendously bright.

The Venom 3 Release Date: When Will It Be Released?
The script’s development will significantly impact the production schedule for Venom 3, which does not yet have a name known to the public.
Sony announced the film’s production at CinemaCon 2022, and Tom Hardy’s eagerness to talk about it leads us to believe that the script is finished.
If this is the case, production on the new sequel could begin as early as the following year, with the film possibly being released in theatres in 2024.
Sony will likely space out the release of the Venom threequel to avoid drawing too much attention to its other Marvel comic book adaptations, what with the recent release of Morbius and rumors that a Madam Web adaptation is on the horizon.
Who Will Play What Roles in Venom 3?
Since Venom 3 is still in its early stages, securing the film’s cast will be difficult. Although Tom Hardy has yet to sign on the dotted line for a third installment, there is much to entice him back.
Notably, the film’s post-credit scene effectively prepares Hardy’s Eddie Brock for a more permanent role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In other news, it’s time for Venom to give Michelle Williams her due as She-Venom.
The actress had only a cameo in Let There Be Carnage, but when the first film came out, she indicated she’d like to explore more of Anne Weying’s alter ego, the equally insane She-Venom.

In the comics, Thompson is another unlucky soul caught up in the symbiote drama, and he was bonded with the original Venom as a new creature. Tony Revolori plays Flash in the MCU, but he appears to be too young for the part. Thus Manganiello would be a fantastic tie back to the crazy of the universe.
In Venom 3, What Will Happen?
Aside from the fact that Eddie Brock is now a wanted man, we have no idea what the threequel might have in store for him and Venom.
Of course, the question of whether he’ll finally face Spider-Man remains, and it may happen in the next film. Eddie/Venom was briefly transported to the MCU in No Way Home, but he was back in his realm at the film’s end.
Nothing is off the table with the multiverse now in play in the MCU and Morbius, including its own MCU crossover.
Sony and Marvel’s creative teams appear eager to make it happen, while Marvel’s Kevin Feige hinted that it wasn’t up to him, adding, “I believe it is up to Sony. Sony has both of those characters and Venom in their universe.”
He continued, “It seems likely at some time,” and that movie might be the third. Serkis predicted it would happen before Let There Be Carnage, and Hardy has also been outspoken about making it happen.

“I don’t see why that couldn’t be if both parties were willing, and it would be advantageous to both. I sincerely hope it will come true, and I will work tirelessly to make that potential a reality while upholding ethical business practices, “he stated.

Furthermore, the credit scene from Morbius hinted at a possible Sinister Six team-up in this realm so that Venom might be included in that in the third film. Anything is conceivable right now.
