Paul Rudd Has Been Cast in Season 3 of “Only Murders in the Building”
The cast of “Only Murders in the Building” has been expanded to include Paul Rudd.
Following his performance in the season two finale, “I Know Who Did It,” in which he portrayed the Broadway star Ben Glenroy, the actor will take on the role of the show’s protagonist in the third season.
It is currently unknown whether Rudd will play a regular role in the series, as a recurring character, or as a guest star in the show.

Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) are three strangers who become friends after becoming involved in a real-life murder investigation and starting their podcast.
Steve Martin plays Charles, Martin Short plays Oliver, and Selena Gomez plays Mabel. They share an apartment building in New York City. In Season 2, their goal is to identify the person who killed Bunny Folger, the President of the Arconia Board.
In July, production on Season 3 was given the go-ahead. (This comes courtesy of Jayne Houdyshell.) Several unfavorable circumstances have arisen for the trio, including the fact that they have been publicly accused of murdering Bunny, that they are the focus of a rival podcast, and that they are forced to deal with a group of New York neighbors who are all convinced that they were involved in the crime.
