Two Women Sue George Foreman for Sexual Assault and Rape
Two women had filed a lawsuit against George Foreman, the former heavyweight boxing champion, due to allegations that he molested them when they were young girls in the 1970s.
In separate lawsuits filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the women allege that Foreman began grooming them when they were just 8 and 9 years old and then raped them when they were 15 and 16 years old.
Foreman, who is 73 years old, refuted the allegations and called them an attempt at extortion in a statement that he provided to The Post.
When they filed their lawsuits, the two plaintiffs, both in their early 60s at this point, used the aliases Gwen H. and Denise F., respectively.
The lawsuits detail a consistent pattern of alleged abusive behavior on the part of the Foreman.
Each woman claimed that she had first met the boxing celebrity when she was a young child and that the reason for this was because their fathers were Foreman’s boxing colleagues.
Denise, a local of Los Angeles, asserted that Foreman began grooming her when she was only 8 years old. According to the allegations made in her lawsuit, he sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions when she was 15 years old, one of which occurred in a hotel room in San Francisco.
Gwen, also from Nevada, stated that she had met Foreman for the first time when she was only 9 years old. She alleged in her lawsuit that he first began committing acts of sexual assault and abuse against her between the ages of 15 and 16.
She also claims that Foreman threatened her father’s job as a boxing adviser if he did not consent to Foreman’s advances toward a sexual nature if she did not give her consent to Foreman’s sexual advances.
Foreman referred to the allegations as “baseless threats and lies” in his response.
According to him, two women have threatened him and his family over the past half year to coerce them into paying multiple millions of dollars.

They are fabricating allegations that I sexually abused them more than four decades ago, in the 1970s, when we were both adults. I vehemently refute the allegations made against me.
Although the lawsuits do not identify Foreman by name, they do provide identifying details about the boxer, such as his professional athletic career. For example, the suits refer to Foreman as DOE 1.
The women were finally able to bring civil lawsuits against their abusers after the state of California 2020 passed a law that temporarily waived the statute of limitations that had previously prevented victims of childhood sexual abuse from bringing civil lawsuits against their abusers.
Both plaintiffs are requesting that a jury try their case and that they be awarded an unspecified amount of money in damages.
