Naomi Osaka Net Worth 2022: Compensation and Endorsements!
In 2018, Naomi Osaka, a Japanese tennis player, rose to stardom. Beginning the year by winning the Indian Wells Open, she first rose to prominence. She subsequently won her maiden Grand Slam at the US Open against Serena Williams near the end of the year. The final was controversial due to a heated argument between the American and the chair umpire.
Early Years
Osaka was born on October 16, 1997, in Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan. Along with her older sister Mari, she was reared by her mother, Tamaki Osaka, and her father, Leonard Francois. Her father is Haitian and her mother is Japanese.
The first three years of Osaka’s life were spent in Japan until her family relocated to Elmont, New York on Long Island to live with her father’s parents. Her father, who had never played tennis himself, was highly impressed by Richards Williams, the father of Venus and Serena Williams, and imitated how he taught his daughters to become tennis champions.
The family moved to Florida when she was nine years old so that she and her sister would have better tennis training chances. She would practice on the Pembroke Pines public tennis courts during the day while homeschooling at night.
At the age of 15, she began working with coach Patrick Trauma at the ISP Academy. She relocated to the Harold Solomon Tennis Academy in 2014 and afterward began training at the ProWorld Tennis Academy. Although the majority of her training and development occurred in the United States, her parents determined early on that if, given the chance, their girls would represent Japan.
