Ime Udoka is a former professional basketball player who played in the NBA league for the Los Angeles Lakers, the New York Knicks, the Portland Trail Blazers, and the San Antonio Spurs.
He was born on August 9, 1977, in Portland, Oregon, in the United States, and he is a native of the state of Oregon.
Udoka also played professionally in Europe and was a member of the Nigerian national team, which he led to bronze medal finishes in the African Championships in both 2005 and 2011. His professional career began in the year 2000 and continued till the year 2012.
A Career in Coaching for Ime Udoka
After being chosen 39th overall in the NBDL Draft in 2002, Udoka started his career as a professional basketball player with the Charleston Lowgators in the National Basketball Development League (NBDL). In August of 2012, he started serving in the capacity of assistant coach for Gregg Popovich with the San Antonio Spurs.
In June 2019, Udoka accepted a position as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers. On October 30, 2020, the Brooklyn Nets made the decision to assign him to the position of assistant coach.

Udoka spent the 2009–10 season playing for the Sacramento Kings; in the 2010–11 season, which was his final year in the NBA, he played for the Spurs once more.
