Former Employees of King Charles Believe That Princess Diana Followers Should Still Be Permitted to Support Camilla, Queen Consort!
Former members of King Charles‘s staff have discussed the criticisms the monarch and Camilla endure. Since word of their affair surfaced in the 1990s, the couple has been subject to public scrutiny.
Fans of Princess Diana, according to the former staff, should let go of the past and love the marriage. Since word of his affair with Camilla — now Queen Consort — surfaced in the 1990s, King Charles III’s romantic life has been subject to public scrutiny.
As previously reported by Insider, in November 1992, an intimate transcript of a 1989 phone call between the then-Prince of Wales and Camilla was given to the public, revealing their relationship. Charles was still married to Princess Diana at the time.
Charles and Camilla continue to endure criticism for their affair, even though they wed in 2005. The love triangle between Charles, Camilla, and Diana was shown in season four of “The Crown,” and at the time, Clarence House restricted its Twitter replies in response to an influx of pro-Diana remarks. The fifth season of the show will premiere on November 9, according to Netflix.
As previously reported by Insider, Camilla has been subjected to online harassment by TikTok users since Charles’ accession to the throne on September 8.
In the videos, slideshows of Camilla labeled “the new queen” or “his wife” are juxtaposed with photographs of Diana labeled “the true queen” and “his ex-wife” and synced to modern music. The hashtag “Cowmilla” has also been used in films directed at Camilla on the Internet.
Former members of the king’s entourage advise Princess Diana’s admirers to let go of the past and embrace the Queen Consort.
Grant Harrold, a former butler to King Charles, told Insider, “There will always be individuals who love Diana, and that will never change.” Harrold worked for Charles from 2004 until 2011 and, after leaving the royal service, founded his own butler and etiquette school.
“How many people in our country actually have affairs? How many marriages end in divorce?” Harrold stated.
“It’s problematic when people pass judgment and point fingers, but I don’t believe people should pass judgment on others… It is their private lives, and things occurred whether they were correct or not. But that was the correct choice for everyone, and we must now close the door on it “he added.
Former royal chef Darren McGrady stated that Camilla has been a source of “stability” in Charles’ life for many years. McGrady worked at Buckingham Palace for eleven years before transferring to Kensington Palace in 1993, where he remained until Princess Diana’s passing in 1997. In Dallas, Texas, he currently operates his own catering company, Eating Royally.
“A significant portion of the nation still adores Diana… you know, if everything had gone according to plan, we would have Queen Diana right now,” McGrady added. “They did not do so. However, he has been married for seventeen years, and Camilla appears to be the steadiness in his life.”
Deborah Mitchell, the facialist for the Queen Consort, recently told Insider that the public does not comprehend how gentle she is. “Until I met the duchess, I was a true Diana fan,” Mitchell told Insider in December 2020.
“I did not anticipate that she would be so beautiful in person. She is a conscientious person who strongly supports women’s rights, and she performs charity work out of her own volition. Not out of necessity or desire for fame. She does nothing for any purpose other than that it is the proper thing to do “she said.
