Gutfeld began an internship with the right-wing journal “The American Spectator” after graduating from college, and later became a staff writer for “Prevention.” Greg afterward moved to Emmaus, Pennsylvania, where he worked as an editor for various Rodale Press publications. In 1995, he began contributing to “Men’s Health,” and in 2000, he was ousted as editor-in-chief.
When Gutfeld became editor-in-chief of “Stuff,” the magazine’s readership increased from 750,000 to 1.2 million. Greg, on the other hand, lost his job after a 2003 stunt in which he sent dwarves to the Magazine Publishers of America convention with the instructions that they be unpleasant and loud.
