Apocalyptic black comedy White Noise, a 2022 movie written and directed by Noah Baumbach, is based on Don DeLillo’s 1985 book of the same name. The movie is Baumbach’s eighth narrative feature and his first that isn’t based on one of his own original stories.

Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Raffey Cassidy, André Benjamin, Alessandro Nivola, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Don Cheadle are among the movie’s prominent cast members. On August 31, 2022, White Noise made its international premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival.

What Could Be the Possible Plot of White Noise?

Jack Gladney is a professor at the College-on-the-Hill who studies Hitler. He is married to Babette and has four children or stepchildren. “The Airborne Toxic Event,” a terrible train accident that spreads chemical waste over his town, breaks his family apart.

Like the book, the movie is about the big shot professor Jack Gladney and his family. He teaches Hitler studies. He and his pill-popping wife Babbette are both on their fourth marriage, and they have a child together as well as children from their previous relationships.

At first, the movie looks like a family drama, but things soon take a dark turn when an “Airborne Toxic Event” hits their Midwestern town, forcing them to flee the chemical fallout.

Who is in the Cast of White Noise?

As Jack, Adam Driver is the star of the White Noise cast. The driver has previously collaborated with Baumbach numerous times, most notably on The Meyerowitz Stories, Marriage Story, While We’re Young, and Frances Ha. For his roles in BlackKklansman and Marriage Story, actor Adam Driver received Oscar nominations. Some of his other notable films include House of Gucci, The Last Duel, Logan Lucky, and a little thing called Star Wars.
