Hellbound Season 2 Release Date Has Not Been Announced Yet!
Hellbound is a South Korean dark fantasy streaming TV show that is based on Yeon Sang-own ho’s webtoon of the same name. It is directed by Yeon Sang-ho. In an original Netflix show that takes place in 2022, supernatural beings appear out of nowhere to send people to Hell. Yoo Ah-in, Kim Hyun-Joo, Park Jeong-min, Won Jin-ah, and Yang Ik-June are all in the show.
It came out on Netflix on November 19, 2021. The next day, it was the most-watched Netflix show in the world, beating out Squid Game, which came out in Singapore two months earlier.
Critics liked the show, but they also knew that it was similar to Squid Game. They still thought it would be talked about a lot and have an impact that would last. The second season was confirmed by Netflix on September 24, 2022.

What is the Renewal Status of Hellbound Season 2?
Since Hellbound came out on Netflix more than ten months ago, there has been no word on whether or not it will be renewed. We thought the show wouldn’t be back for a second season, so we were very surprised to hear at the Netflix TUDUM event that Hellbound has been picked up for a second season.
Release Date of Hellbound season 2
Now that the show has been officially picked up for another season, we can start to guess when it will come back. The director and creator of the series, Yeon Sang Oh, will be working on several projects for Netflix in the next year, including a remake of Parasyte and a new zombie horror series. This means that filming might not start until the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.
The movie Hellbound was filmed from September 17, 2020, to January 18, 2021. So, it took just over fourteen months from the start of filming until the Netflix release date. Using fourteen months as a rough estimate, this means that we won’t be able to watch Hellbound season 2 on Netflix for a long time.

What Will Be the Plot of Season 2 of Hellbound?
There are no hints about what a second season might be like, but the end of Season 1 gives us a good idea of where the horror show might be going. At the end of the season, the camera zooms in on Park Jeong-burned JA’s body (Kim Shin-rok).
She died early in the season, and the New Truth Society told the whole world about it to scare people into joining their cause. She seemed to be dead for sure, but all of a sudden, she came back to life.
It’s an interesting twist because it suggests that death from the monsters might not be as final as we thought at first. There might be a way to bring people back to life, which could give people the hope they need to stop these terrible things from happening.
The first season was mostly about how people dealt with the new threat. Is it possible that we’ll find out more about the creatures and why they decided to kill everyone all of a sudden? We hope Netflix will keep the show going soon so we can see what else is in store for this universe.

Production Details
In 2003, the 11-minute animated short The Hell, which was where the idea came from, was made longer. The idea was then turned into a webcomic called Hellbound, which came out between 2009 and 2011.
In April 2020, Netflix gave the green light to make a show based on the webcomic. Yeon agreed to be in charge of the show.
Late in July, it was confirmed that Yoo Ah-in, Park Jeong-min, Kim Hyun-Joo, Won Jin-ah, Yang Ik-jun, Kim Shin-rok, Ryu Kyung-soo, and Lee Re would all be in the series in different roles.
From August 2020 to January 2021, the show was filmed at Cube Indoor Studio. Filming took place outside at the old Chungnam Provincial Government Buildings in Sunhwa-dong, Jung-gu, and at the Hannam University Missionary Village in Daedeok-gu. At a Netflix roadshow on February 25, 2021, the director and cast of the TV show Hellbound talked about it.
