Moana Ending Explained

Moana returns to Te Fiti and fools Te Ka into pursuing her. Te Ka‘s attacks get increasingly severe, but Maui returns to help and directs Moana to restore the heart in the spiral while he fights Te Ka.

Moana finds Te Fiti with the help of Maui and the ocean, while Te Ka destroys Maui’s fishhook; Moana then observes the spiral on Te Ka’s chest, which turns out to be Te Fiti. Moana helps Te Ka remember who she truly is and heals her heart. Te Fiti restores the equilibrium by returning to her original, luxuriant self.

Maui apologizes for stealing Moana’s heart as they say their goodbyes to Te Fiti. As a result, she repairs Maui’s fishhook and allows him to fly away.
