Bashir was seen preparing for his citizenship test. The agent began questioning him about his background, passport, and other documents. As the inspectors addressed each question, we saw Bash reflect on the many cases he had handled.
He attends to a patient who jumped from the third story of a burning building. He is being treated in the operating room when doctors discover that his lungs are in poor condition and may endanger his life.
When his identical twin brother, Liam, arrives, the doctors may use him to make educated guesses about Ezra’s past. Ezra is hesitant to talk to Liam because he envies his healthier lifestyle, but as his lungs fail, Liam volunteers to give up a portion of his lungs to save him.
They had to contend with a woman who sleepwalks and swallows keys as well. She is adamant that no painkillers be prescribed to her because she could become addicted to them.
When she needs gastric surgery, her medical team uses a different type of sedation known as a spinal block. When the inspector inquires about Bashir’s arrest, he replies that he was apprehended while attempting to obtain medications for a dying patient.
Bashir also remembers a young patient who had self-burned but was terrified and could only communicate in Arabic. As the show comes to a close, we see Bashir inviting Amira and Mags.
He walks into the room with good news—now he’s a citizen. The therapist recommended by Bash’s psychiatrist is unusual. Mags is kicked out and meet a vengeful former patient.
