Call the Midwife Season 12 Episode 3 Release Date: Where to Watch This Show?
Call the Midwife is a BBC drama set in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It is about a group of nurse midwives who work in the East End of London. This week, a new episode of Call The Midwife, which has won awards, will be on the air.
Still taking place in the 18th century, a new nurse has come to work at Nonnatus House. She is lively and mysterious. Lucille has been having a hard time because of racism in the town, but all the midwives are making sure that their patients are happy and healthy. This show is a period drama about midwives in the 1960s.
It often shows a wide range of problems that were common in the East End of London at the time. People have liked how the show shows problems that don’t come up as often, like pregnancy in the past, the spread of multiple diseases, the threat of nuclear war and its effects, and many more.
People say that the show is based on the memoirs that a nurse named Jennifer Worth wrote in the 1950s and left behind. Heidi is an executive producer of the show, and so is Pippa Harris, who has worked on movies like The Lost Prince and Revolutionary Road.
After almost 10 million people watched a special episode of Call the Midwife, the series was put into production right away. It was shown on TV for the first time on January 15, 2012.
Even though the nurse who inspired Jenny Lee’s actress Jessica Raine to play the role has left the show, the unique plot and setting of the show continue to draw viewers.
The 12th season, which started on January 1, 2023, is the most recent one. So far, this season has been about lesbian women, Cancer, and racial discrimination.

Call the Midwife Season 12 Episode 2: Synopsis
In the episode from January 8, 2023, Lucille is sent to help a man who has had Macular degeneration for a long time. Even though Mr Woodley has a big family, he lives alone.
When the nurse goes to see him, he seems to have lost most of his vision and has an injured hand. Mr Woodley reluctantly agrees when the nurse tells him to make an appointment with an eye doctor.
Sister Julienne gives a workshop on how to breastfeed, and one of the women there, Lilian, says she is in pain. She is told that she needs to go to a hospital later to find out why.
After going to the doctor, she finds out that she has a rare type of breast cancer that is treated in a very different way. Dr Turner tells them this is true and says Lilian should start radiation therapy soon. Because of the bleeding behind his eyes, Mr Woodley ends up losing all of his sight.
Lucille brings him some of his favourite Marie biscuits to help him feel better. Cyril talks about his wife Lucille, and when Lucille hears him, she breaks down. Lilian’s water breaks out of the blue, which is good news because the doctor is thinking about starting labour.
She gives birth to a healthy girl and names her Andrea. Lilian is sad because she won’t be able to feed her child while she is getting treatment for cancer. Dr Turner helps Lucille get over her panic attack and her sadness.
He also explains Lucille’s therapy to Cyril. Lilian says she’s sorry to her sister Julienne, and then the nurses have a Whitsun Maypole party.
