Demon Slayer Season 3 Release Date: Will Tanjiro and Nezuko’s Story Continue in Season 3?
Demon Slayer Season three is absolutely on the way, so fans who were worried that we’d seen the last of Tanjiro and Nezuko (and everyone else) may relax.
After an epic ending that included some of Demon Slayer’s most impressive fight scenes to date, the hugely successful anime program closed up its second season in May of 2022.
Demon Slayer also had a successful year because of the massive success of the spinoff/sequel film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. When Mugen Train was released in 2020, it became the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time at the worldwide box office.
So, now that the dust has cleared in the entertainment district, what lies ahead for Tanjiro and the Hashira Corps in their continuous battle against Muzan Kibutsuji? Here’s all we know about the third season of Demon Slayer.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Plot: What will happen in Demon Slayer season 3?
Season three’s plot will be based on the ninth arc of the original manga, the Swordsmith Village arc.
It’s important to mention that the Demon Slayer manga officially ended in 2020, creating a unique circumstance for anime viewers to learn (approximately) what the future holds for Tanjiro and the crew.
The Swordsmith Village arc immediately follows the end of the Entertainment District arc, which saw Tanjiro and Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui battle the demon twins Gyutaro and Daki.
Fortunately, Tanjiro’s demon-slaying sword was the only permanent victim of this epic combat.
Tanjiro will come to the Swordsmith Village in season three to get his blade restored by Hotaru Haganezuka.
Tanjiro and company will, of course, be attacked by a swarm of demons while there (including an Upper-Rank Six that splits themselves across multiple bodies). Fortunately, Muichiro Tokito, and Mist Hashira, steps in to handle the thread.
Satoshi Hino (Rengoku) identified the key to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s worldwide popularity.
“I’m incredibly glad to learn that the attractiveness of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Japanese animation has struck a chord with many outside viewers.
“Caring for family, the value of life, and living one’s life to the fullest are some of the themes in this anime that everyone around the world can connect to. I consider myself extremely fortunate that everyone on the planet has united and shares this shared opinion.”
Season three will continue to deepen these crucial issues if the program is to expand on its success.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Trailer
Crunchyroll and production firm Ufotable released the first teaser trailer for season three in April 2022. (sort of).
However, calling it a trailer may be a stretch given that it essentially serves as a recap of the series thus far, taking you through highlights from seasons one and two.
The addition of some essential (old) videos of the Mist and Love Hashiras, who we know will play a key role in the third season, is the most remarkable element.
If we estimate a late 2023 premiere for Demon Slayer season 3, we can expect a full trailer in June 2023 based on past seasons. Keep an eye on this space.
Where Can I Watch Demon Slayer Season 3?
Earlier in 2022, Ufotable and streaming service Crunchyroll revealed that when Demon Slayer season three is released, it will be available on the service.

How Many Episodes in Demon Slayer Season 3 Release Date
We expect Season 3 to cover the whole 25-chapter Swordsmith Village arc from the Demon Slayer manga. Therefore, the anime adaptation should consist of approximately 11 to 12 episodes, which is comparable to the Entertainment District Arc (or season 2), which consists of 11 episodes.
