We only have three episodes into the season, but this is Vinland Saga’s grandeur, it doesn’t miss, and it doesn’t decrease in quality, if anything, it came back stronger, episode 2 enhanced the quality, and episode 3 skyrocketed the quality. This season is gone, and it’s painful to see what happened to our hero in such a short period of time.
I am not saying he always had the healthiest mindset with his revenge-driven goals, but at least we felt like he was alive, there was at least a person there.
However, he can’t even remember his nightmares, and I believe they stabbed him when he was freaking out in the stables because just moments earlier during that drunken scene they were discussing how they were going to kill them.
The only reaction we’ve seen from Thor since he was reintroduced in Season 2 is him freaking out in a dream; otherwise, he’s stone-cold and doesn’t feel like a person;
it’s bad enough that he almost lost an eye from one of those swings, he literally lost a third of his ear, and he didn’t even flinch. Everyone else was either laughing or panicking out in the case of Einar and Thorfinn, who were both ready to die.

The second segment of the anime will begin with Thorfinn, where we saw Pater tending to his wounds from the previous encounter with Fox. Except for the ear, all other incisions, according to Pater, are superficial and should heal quickly.
He not only cures his wounds but also gives him free medicine since he believes it is his responsibility to care for them, and then offers him a shirt because his previous one was ruined.
After observing Thorfinn’s motions during his conversation with Snake, Einar wonders if he has ever fought in a war before. Thorfinn discloses to him that in a previous life, he was a warrior.
Although Einar is outraged at first because of Thorfinn’s background, when he finds him whimpering in his sleep, he changes his mind.
What to Expect Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 4
According to the teaser for Vinland Saga season 2, episode 4, Snake challenges Thorfinn to a battle in the mercenary group’s barracks-like quarters. The trailer also depicts this fight as reawakening something within Thorfinn, possibly the fire that seemed to have died within him after the events of the first season.
Vinland Saga season 2 episode 4 will also likely have some conversation between Olmar, Thorfinn, and Einar, with the three likely leaving the mercenary camp alone.
This will almost certainly result in some hilarious moments between the three, as well as Thorfinn discussing his own past as a military soldier with the two.
