The Ex-husband of Rhoa Star Phaedra Parks is Accused of Domestic Abuse
Not for a good reason, Apollo Nida, the ex-husband of Phaedra Parks, star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, is back in the news. He was detained again on suspicion of assault after Sherien Almufti, his current spouse, alleged that he had become violent with her.
Nida, 45, was charged with simple assault and domestic abuse, according to court records that Us Weekly was able to get. After being taken to a nearby jail and paying a $3,000 bond, he was able to secure his release a few hours later.
Apollo Was Reportedly Arguing With His Wife About Cheating
When Almufti contacted 911 on Nida back in March, the drama started. After returning home from a pub, she informed the police that their quarrel about infidelity had gotten out of hand. They seemed to be accusing one another of being unfaithful.
After Nida allegedly showed Almufti a video of her kissing another man, things became heated. Almufti said he pushed her up against the refrigerator after yanking her by the hair. She made it outside to ask for assistance in the midst of the confusion. Nida ran off by the time she came back to get her phone.
According to the police report, Almufti provided them with security footage of the heated altercation; however, the physical portion of the exchange was not captured. She refused medical assistance, and the officers saw no obvious injuries on her.
Upon his return, Nida offered his version of events, acknowledging that he had attempted to grab Almufti’s phone during the dispute. He claimed that although she curled up on the ground to guard it, he was able to take it from her and follow her outside to give it back.
Apollo Has Previously Faced Legal Issues
Just a month prior to this incident, Nida was charged with a misdemeanor count of simple battery. At a recent hearing, it was unclear if he had entered a plea or hired an attorney.
Court documents referenced by In Touch contain a statement from Keith E. Gammage, the Solicitor General for Fulton County, Georgia, charging Apollo Edward Nida with “simple battery – family violence,” a misdemeanor.
The documents indicate that around March 11, 2024, in Fulton County, Georgia, Nida allegedly made “physical contact of an insulting and provoking nature” with his spouse, Sherien Copes, by pulling her hair and pushing her.
Almufti subsequently revealed to In Touch, in an unexpected turn of events, that “it was a huge blow out between a married couple that has brought us much closer since then.” We have been attending couples therapy and have resolved our concerns. The conclusion.
Regarding Phaedra Parks, the 50-year-old legal eagle wed Nida in 2009 and separated in 2017. Together, they are parents to two children: Ayden (born in 2010) and Dylan (born in 2013). Parks was associated with Medina Islam till their separation in 2021, whilst Nida went on with Almufti.
When Phaedra Parks joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s cast in 2010, the third season of the show, she immediately gained national recognition. With her razor-sharp wit, legal acumen, and memorable one-liners, Phaedra immediately won over fans.
Apollo Nida demonstrates once more that drama never really ends, even when a person leaves reality TV. A clear reminder of the turbulent life he spent with Phaedra Parks and continues to lead with Sherien Almufti is provided by his most recent run-in with the law.
The difference between Phaedra’s journey and Apollo’s troubles is evident as she navigates her post-RHOA existence with grace and ambition.
