Ben Affleck Purchases a $20 Million Home in Los Angeles Alone, Separate from Jennifer Lopez Due to Marital Problems
According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, Ben Affleck bought a new home without his wife Jennifer Lopez.
The informant claims that Affleck, 51, purchased the land on Wednesday, July 24. A Redfin listing states that the Los Angeles mansion sold for more than $20 million. The 6,247-square-foot home has a gated, walled entry, five bedrooms, and five bathrooms.
We first verified Affleck and Lopez’s 55-year-old separation in May. The couple listed their combined L.A. house earlier this month, according to a second source who told Us Weekly they were in a “rush to sell” the 12-bedroom estate.
The insider stated at the time, “They decided to list the house very recently, within the last week.” “Although they made a snap decision to draw greater attention to the house, they still believed they could sell it off-market. They are trying to sell it quickly. Ben is particularly eager to move out of the house. He was never content there.
Lopez and Affleck have not responded to rumors about their impending nuptials or real estate plans in the public eye. Recently, they have started spending time apart, and during the summer, they frequently skip wearing their wedding bands.
A third source told Us in June that “they can’t get on the same page [and] have been discussing divorce as an option.”
The couple, who were once engaged in the early 2000s, got back together in May 2021 after splitting from Alex Rodriguez and Ana de Armas, respectively. A month later, the pair reaffirmed their vows at Affleck’s house in Georgia. Neither Affleck nor Lopez celebrated their second wedding anniversary in the public eye earlier this month.
But there’s still hope, as another source told Us in July.
According to a fourth insider, “Jennifer suggested they just take time to figure it out,” adding that the two are currently leading “separate” lifestyles. Both as a pair and as individuals, they are going through a great deal. They might need some time to see if this difficult situation can be resolved on its own so they can return to one another [as] better people.
