Jax Taylor is Pursuing in-patient Treatment for His Mental Health Issues Following His Separation From Brittany Cartwrigh
Jax Taylor, who is still not living with his wife Brittany Cartwright, is pursuing inpatient therapy.
In a statement released on Tuesday, July 30, a representative for the Vanderpump Rules star informed Us Weekly that Taylor, 45, is looking for assistance with “his mental health struggles.”
The statement said, “Jax has always been candid about his struggles with mental health, especially during the past few months on his podcast.” “He has decided to pursue treatment in an inpatient setting. For him and his family, now is a really delicate time. Until he is prepared to discuss this topic further, they ask for discretion and respect.
The information comes after Taylor posted a poignant message on Instagram on Monday, July 29, featuring a quotation from e-buddhism.com that said, “Be brave enough to ask for help, smart enough to know when you need it, and strong enough to stand alone.”
The Valley actress, who is 35 years old and has a 3-year-old son named Cruz, captioned the photo with a red heart emoji, prayer hands, and a happy face.
During the February 22 episode of her and Taylor’s podcast, “When Reality Hits,” Cartwright made the first indication that there might be problems in the couple’s marriage. The reality personality disclosed that she had left the family’s house just a week later.
In the episode airing on February 29, Cartwright stated, “Jax and I are taking some time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.” “Although I have no idea what the future holds, my current priorities are taking care of Cruz as best I can. I pray for us and I love you all. Everything will work out perfectly.
In April, Cartwright exclusively revealed to Us that Taylor had not yet made the necessary efforts to mend their marriage. “We shall see if he’s going to make some changes in our relationship; things are in his hands,” she stated, calling Taylor’s lack of initiative “disappointing.”
Images of Taylor with model Paige Woolen appeared a little over a month later, but Taylor clarified on the May 31 episode of “When Reality Hits” that he was “not — I repeat not — dating anybody.”
On June 4, during The Valley’s season 1 finale, the couple talked about their breakup. (The season was shot from July to September; however, in order to document the couple’s breakup, filming resumed in February.)
In one scene, Taylor remembered that after Cartwright informed him she wanted to get away, he was “down in the dumps” and started crying. “I’m taking a break from Brittany. “It doesn’t seem promising,” he remarked in the segment. “There are no cheating, no abuse, and there are no affairs.” Not at all. I’m really agitated.
Through a since-deleted X, Taylor claimed on June 5 that Cartwright had slept with someone else. Taylor wrote again a few hours after the first, saying the two were “working things out.”
