“Basketball builds character? Not necessarily. Basketball reveals,” says ELAC head coach John Mosley says in the trailer.

The show provides an “honest, gritty look inside the world of community college basketball” according to the synopsis by Netflix. Anyone who had seen the very first season of Last Chance U can wholeheartedly agree with that statement.

The docuseries consists of eight episodes, which will be following the East Los Angeles College Huskies (ELAC) as they take on opponents to win the California state basketball championship. The ELAC team consists of former D1 recruits as well as born athletes who play like their life depends on it so that they can play at the professional level. But they face numerous adversities and have to face their inner emotions and demons both on and off the court.

Anyone who has seen the 2020 college basketball season (any level actually) can understand how much adversities these Huskies will be facing. Make sure to stick around till the ending, as it promises to be just as intense as the previous Last Chance U.
