We may be getting a true next-gen assassin’s creed game this time
If rumours are to be believed, a new Assassin’s Creed game is in the works. We got the latest entry, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in November that came out for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S along with PC. But even though the game was available for next-gen consoles, it was far from a next-gen game. That being said, the game that is in development is said to give the proper next-gen experience.
The latest rumours haven’t mentioned anything in detail aside from the fact that Ubisoft Sofia is in charge of developing the game. For those who are not familiar with Ubisoft Sofia, it is not exactly one of Ubisoft’s premier studios, but it was in the lead for Assassin’s Creed Rogue and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. If you have been keeping up with the franchise, neither of these games were well received, compared to some other entrants from the franchise.
The leaker, j0nathan from Reddit doesn’t have much to say beyond this, but there are other rumours from different sources as well. One of these is that the game is smaller, just like Liberation and Rogue, and not big titles like Black Flag, Origins, or Odyssey. This could be why Ubisoft Sofia was brought along.
Still a rumour
Please note that despite all these, the news mentioned above are still rumours and shouldn’t be taken in blindly. Ubisoft has not addressed any of these news and you know that they will be looking for an auspicious moment to do so. Once they will be revealing, an updated article will be written on the same.
So what do you think? Do you still have faith that a good Assassin’s Creed game will arrive after years of not making a good impact?
