The character she will play has not been revealed
Star Wars’ upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+ has added actress Indira Varma to its cast. Varma is best known for her role of Ellaria Sand in HBO’s Game of Thrones. Ellaria was the lover of Prince Oberyn Martell, who was ironically played by Le mandalorien star Pedro Pascal.

Varma’s role in the series is currently unknown, and there isn’t much to know about what the story of the series will be either. But it will be bringing back Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi and his co-star Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader.
Varma’s other roles
Indira Varma has earned a big reputation among TV series buffs. Aside from her role in Game of Thrones, she has starred in Amazon’s Carnival Row, HBO’s Rome, BBC’s Luther, and even did voice acting for popular video games like World of Warcraft et Mass Effect. Her features have allowed her to play a wide range of ethnicities. But when it comes to Guerres des étoiles, she could be playing anyone from a powerful leading figure from the deserts of Tatooine or any alien species.
The Obi-Wan series is being directed by Le mandalorien‘s Deborah Chow. Thanks to the Guerres des étoiles universe expanding after its successful stint with Disney+, we can expect big cameos from even Liam Neeson, who portrayed Qui-Gon Jinn. As mentioned before, we still don’t know what the plot is going to be, but we do have a report that was shown during the recent Disney Investor Day event.
There were concept arts showing a Jedi holding a lightsaber defending a trio of Younglings as the newly-anointed Darth Vader marches up the Jedi Temple with clone troopers, one of a stingray-like creature floating above slave workers, an image of the armoured Vader communicating with a hologram, and a clash between Obi-Wan and Vader.
