The game is built exclusively for mobile devices

Krafton and PUBG studio has teamed up for their next big PlayerUnknown’s Battleground project, and revealed PUBG: New State, a battle royale exclusively for mobile devices. The game has been built from the ground up to provide a good mobile experience, as mentioned by the creators and will be taking place years after the narrative of the first PUBG. The release date will be some time in 2021.

What’s new?

Creators of PUBG: New State said that they’ll be taking what they’ve learnt from PUBG Mobile and has made an “easy to learn, but hard to master” gaming experience. The graphics and locations will be significantly improved than what’s available in the current PUBG.

New features include a customisation kit for weapons that will allow players to give additional modifications to their loadouts by adjusting their firing modes and putting attachments on guns. It’s similar to the Blueprints system available in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and also Call of Duty: Mobile, and has been successful. There’s also going to be combat rolls to evade enemy fire or vehicles and 8×8 maps giving a bigger open world experience.

Pushing limits

MinKyu Park, the executive producer of PUBG: New State stated that with this game, the team hopes to push the limits of mobile gaming.

Park announced that thanks to the fan support and massive success of the previous games, it was humbling to be able to introduce the new game in the franchise that revolutionised the battle royale genre.

From the looks of it, the weapons and vehicles have been given a futuristic look, and locations in the battle royale map look diverse, with locations for close combat as well as sniping.
