Jumanji 4: Producer confirms that the movie is in its early development stage
Producer Hiram Garcia states that big plans are underway
Jumanji 4 has been confirmed to be in development, making all the rumours surrounding the Dwayne Johnson-led franchise true. This will be the fourth movie overall as the franchise began in 1995 with the late Robin Williams in the lead as a young boy who got trapped inside the nightmarish board game until he was an adult, and then unwittingly brought back to the real world.
Jumanji 4 news
It took almost 2 years to receive official word, but a fourth Jumanji film is indeed happening. As per a recent Comic Book interview with Hiram Garcia, president of Dwayne Johnson’s production house Seven Bucks Productions, talks regarding the fourth movie is “100%” taking place. Things are still in their early stages, but Gracia expressed his eagerness and contentment with the franchise and the entire team who had dedicated themselves to making the franchise bigger and better.
The arrival of animals from the game into the real world is teased in the end credits of Jumanji: The Next Level, so it’s safe to assume that it’s going to be a part of the movie. But since that was the entire premise of the 1995 movie, the makers of Jumanji 4 will have to take a different approach.
Jack Black’s retirement
Another cause of concern will be how Jumanji 4 handles the issue of Jack Black’s retirement. The 51-year-old star has been talking about bidding goodbye to Hollywood, but nothing’s been officially decided yet.
The actor still has his YouTube channel Jablinski Games, with the last video posted two months ago. But should he leave the franchise, how do you think the rest will perform? Or will they be able to make Black stay for one last film? What we do know, is that the movie will take a minimum of two years to come out.
